Yay!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to have more stuff up soon. I have a lot of left over stock from when I was doing wire wrapping. I'm hoping to clear out my stock so that I can buy more goodies for my screen printer.

I have several designs that I want to get printed but don't have the stock to print them on yet.

Work space

I decided I truly need a dedicated work space. And since we have limited room in the condo I had to make do. I've rearranged some stuff in my bedroom to give myself some space to work in.

I'm contemplating rearranging the bedroom completely to give my self some more space. Since it's the weekend I may just do that.

I've got stock ready to put up on etsy but I'm needing to take some pictures and to do that I need better lighting.

Le Sigh.

I'm hoping by the end of the moth to have things listed on my etsy website.

Attempted to burn 2 screens for shirts. 1 turned out well but I need some different ink before I can pull any shirts.

The second which is meant to be an advertising shirt for B. Didn't turn out as well. Totally my fault & wasn't unexpected. Fixed what I did wrong & am now waiting for the emulsion to dry so I can try to burn it again.

time flies

So it's been a while.

I've broken in my screen printer.

I'm now constantly looking for ideas of items I can turn into images for screen printing. Right now I'm focusing on T-shirts and onesies. I'm hoping to get some pictures soon & get the stuff I have done listed on my etsy soon.

I'm hoping to expand into reconstructed clothing soon.

I'm also germinating an idea for a series of oil paints that have been in my head for the better part of a year. I'm trying to get some photographic images to work from so that I can make this series a reality.

Finally

I finally did it. I finally used my Yudu. After ruining one sheet of emulsion (actual half a sheet) I figured it out and did it.

It's definitely not a quick process to get everything set up. But the printing was damn quick. I'm proud of my first image.

Hopefully this will motivate me to do more in the coming weeks & get my etsy shop hopping.

My new toy

I recently added yet another toy to my toolbox. A Yudu Screen Printer. It's out of the box & just begging to be broken in.

Alas I'm in a quandary of what to make first. I have a couple of mock ups created and a few more ideas floating around in my head but nothing I need to make. So it's going to hang out for a little bit.

I'll post pics as soon as I create something with it.

2008 craftyness

Well 2008 wasn't a total bust. I did start sewing again.

My goals for 2009 are to make (and sell?) more of my crafts & start sewing more of my own clothes.

Simple and to the point.
